Ngā Hua A Tāne Rore : the Benefits of Kapa Haka (June 2014)

Ngā Hua A Tāne Rorethe Benefits of Kapa Haka report was released on 3 December 2014.

The report identifies that kapa haka plays an important role in the life of our nation. It is an unique part of our identity as New Zealanders and contributes positively to employment, economic growth, social cohesion, the acceptance and encouragement of diversity, and creative thinking in a range of fields.

The programme of potential research presented here supports building a credible evidence base to underpin policy design and to assist the Ministry and Te Matatini in leveraging future opportunities for appropriate levels of support for kapa haka.
