It was produced in 2010 to provide place-based information about New Zealand for visitors to the 2011 Rugby World Cup Kei Roto i te Miru - Inside the Bubble During the Covid-19 pandemic Manatū Taonga, Ministry for Culture and Heritage staff have been working with Auckland Libraries to develop resources for people at home to collect oral histories using the technologies they had to hand. QuakeStories The earthquakes that struck Canterbury in 2010 and 2011 are among the most significant events in New Zealand history. QuakeStories was a place to share stories of these and subsequent New Zealand earthquakes. First World War Centenary Projects Our historians developed a series of projects to commemorate the centenary of the First World War. 150th anniversary of the Waikato War In 2013 and 2014, the 150th anniversary commemorations of various battles of the Waikato War took place. Public Media Advisory Group From March 2018 until 30 June 2019 the Ministerial Advisory Group on Public Media advised the Minister for Broadcasting, Communications and Digital Media on the development of broadcasting and media policy.
