Media release: 24 August 2021
In the interests of keeping everyone safe and giving people certainty, Manatū Taonga has made the decision to reschedule the Ngāmotu New Plymouth Te Urungi: Innovating Aotearoa event that was planned for 27-29 August.
Given the escalation in COVID-19 cases, we’re working on an online event format for Te Urungi, using lessons learned and building on the previous online event format.
The COVID-19 situation is fast-moving, and at all times we’re prioritising the wellbeing of participants and communities.
We’re working with mana whenua and stakeholders to make the right decisions with each community.
The current consideration is:
We will reschedule Ngāmotu New Plymouth, and this may be delivered as an online event.
Our next scheduled event is in Te Tai Tokerau Kerikeri on 3-5 September, and we are considering how best to deliver this event.
We’ll update information on our website and let those who have registered to attend events know details as soon as we are able to. Any participants or stakeholders who have questions can contact [email protected]
