Cultural Activators Pilot

The Ngā Kaiwhakaoho Ahurea Cultural Activators Pilot was part of Te Tahua Whakahaumaru Creative Arts Recovery and Employment (CARE) Fund. The pilot funds cultural activators in eight communities to increase access and participation in cultural activities.

The cultural activators will be established cultural sector practitioners who will collaborate with their communities to tell their stories, build their creative skills, and connect them with opportunities in the wider cultural sector.

Manatū Taonga has funded cultural sector organisations from eight communities to host and support these cultural activators for a year. Each of these organisations will receive up to $180,000 for this purpose. Total funding is $1.44 million.
