Cultural Sector Capability Fund
Milestones
The Capability Fund supports the cultural sector to adapt to the COVID-19 environment by funding projects that build skills and knowledge, and provide access to advice, services, tools and resources.
Funding is available to cultural sector leadership organisations to deliver projects that build the capability of the cultural sector practitioners, organisations and/or businesses they represent and support. This includes iwi, hapū and marae organisations.

About round one
Applications for round one closed in February 2021.
Cultural sector leadership organisations could apply for:
- Up to $20,000 of seed funding
- Up to $750,000 of project funding.

About round two
Applications for round two are expected to open in 2022.
Cultural sector leadership organisations can apply for up to $400,000 of project funding. Following high levels of demand in the first funding round, this approach is designed to achieve wide benefit across the sector.
