New Zealand

Ever thought about recording oral history but weren’t sure where to start? Do you or your whānau, family and friends have stories to share about life in Aotearoa or the wider Pacific? Are your origins and journeys to Aotearoa something you want to record?

We administer Ngā Kōrero Tuku Iho, Piki Ake! Kake Ake! New Zealand Oral History grants, which support community-led oral history projects that reflect diverse identities and perspectives.

Find out about how to apply for a grant by attending a 20-minute webinar with Senior Audio-Visual Historian Emma-Jean Kelly. There will be time for questions and discussion about the fund.

Applications are open until 15 April 2024 for grants to provide financial help for oral history projects. Funding will go towards projects that tell the stories of the history of Aotearoa New Zealand and its close relationship with the Pacific.

When: Monday 26 February, 7.00pm – 8.00pm

Where: Online via Zoom
